Representatives from the Northwest Florida Construction Career Days (CCD) and Santa Rosa County (SRC) WorkforceDevelopment recently presented three seniors from Pace High School with $1,000 scholarships.
Asha Waters, Riley McPheeters and Logan Taylor of Pace High School are the scholarship recipients. Each student submitted an application after attending the CCD event in April 2019 at the Santa Rosa County Equestrian Center.
CCD is a two-day event designed to introduce high school students to a wide range of rewarding career opportunities available in the construction industry.
Senior students who attend the event are eligible for $1,000 with the submission of an application and essay or video regarding their experience at CCD. The scholarship sub-committee chooses at least one winner from each of the Northwest Florida counties that participate in CCD.
The scholarships are made possible by the generous sponsorship and participation of companies in the Annual CCD Golf Tournament and Sporting Clay Tournament. The next CCD event is scheduled for April 28 and 29, 2020.
