South Florida Construction Career Days
South Florida CCD serves three FDOT districts including District 4 and District 6 and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. With a land area of nearly 3,800 square miles and Seven counties in South Florida, numerous employment opportunities, now and in the future, are available in the road and bridge construction industry. Its 6.1 million residents contribute to the 109.1 million miles traveled daily on its highways. FDOT provides capital, operating assistance and grant funds to 97 public airports, 78 private airports, four rail lines, and five deep-water ports.
